Devonport

Devonport is known mainly for two things: A quaint village with old cafes and shops, and New Zealand's only naval base. Devonport is 10 minutes from Central Auckland by ferry. From the top of North Head you can see views of the harbour and Islands in the Gulf. You can also explore the old military tunnels built for defence during Worlds War II.
