Glenbrook

Situated on the eastern side of the Waiuku River, Glenbrook is the location of Glenbrook Mill - the steelmaking operation of New Zealand Steel. Glenbrook Mill utilises the ironsand deposits at the north head of the Waikato River. The Glenbrook Vintage Railway is open to the public with 10km rides in a steam train. Glenbrook was previously known as Packington after the British Secretary of the Colonies in the 1850s.
