Hawkes Bay

Hawkes Bay is situated on the east coast of the North Island of new Zealand. The region was formerly known as "Hawke Bay", is sometimes referred to as "The Hawke's Bay" but is correctly named "Hawkes Bay" (without the apostrophe). The bay extends for 100 kilometres from Mahia Peninsula in the northeast to Cape Kidnappers in the southwest.
